RETURNED SOLDIERS
MENTAL CASES AT PORHttFA. PATIENTS WELL LOOKED AFTER. Members of the executive of tho New" Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association on Saturday last paid their usual monthly visit to the returned eoldiers -who are inmates of the- Porirua hospital. The party consisted of Mr R. J. F. Aldn'ch (secretary to tho association), Mr C Gasquoine, and Mr C. Pascoe. There are returned men under treatment at tho institution from all parts of New Zealand, «nd oven from Australia, and it is, with the object of affording them a connecting link with their friends and relatives_ tha.t tho executive pays its regular visits. Tho association has received numbers of thanks for the services thus render-
©d. The committee last week found that oil the soldier patients of the hospital were- hi excellent health and spirits, find that tho conditions tinder which, they aro living aro excellent. Tho usual comforts, such as cigarettes and fruit, supplied by public donation, were distributed amongst the unfortunate inmates. The committee again found evidence" of tho humano treatment of the attendants towards their charges.
