There scarcely is a meeting of importance at which he is not placed. Since March 23nd he has had twenty-three winners. . Donoghue leads with forty-three winners, and Carslake has twenty-six. These are the best averages. Ascot week p'romises to outshine the pre-war brilliance. The stand and Royal pavilion have been thoroughly renovated. The lawns and flower beds are in perfect condition. The Royal party will attend every day. Society circles are on tiptoe in expectation, and given fine weather this is expected 1 to be the gayest Ascot on record.
