SUBURBS DEFEAT ATHLETIC. The League_senior competition was continued on " Saturday. Suburbs met and defeated Athletic at the Newtown Park by 44 points to 9. The game, which was watched by a goodly number of spectators, was not uninteresting, oven though the suburban representatives had a very
easy victory. PETONE v. NEfWTOWN. The senior fixture Petone against Newtown, which was set down for decision at Petone on Saturday could not bo played on account of the ground being under water.
