WELLINGTON COMPETITIONS
FESTIVAL CDAIAIENCBS JANUARY 21st. The third .annual festival of the Wellington Competitions Society will he held in the Opera House, commcncing on September 31st next. An attractive programme of some HO classes in vocal and instrumental music, recitations, character recitals, national and fancy dancing has been arranged, the loading features being a choir contest and a contest for male voice choir. The society are also offering a prize of £5 5a for the most suitable design for their programme cover. Arrangements have been made wherdiv competitors mav travel at holidifr excursion rates. The syllabus and book of w.ords arc now obtainable at any music warehouse, or will be posted direct on application to the secretary.
