SENTENCED BY SINN FEIN. PRISONERS REFUSE TO BE RESCUED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, Juno 7. A Sinn Fein tribunal in County dare sentenped- three men to a fortnight's detention on Mutton Island for refusing to obev the tribunal’s order to rebuild a farm wall which they demolished. The constabulary learned, of the iuei,dent, and sent a' boat to rescue the marooned trio. The men, however, stoned the rescuers, and declined to be rci-ca.oeu, declaring themselves citizens of tho Irish Republic, and .therefore the constabulary had no: authority to intervene. The constabulary then withdrew. The prisoners had ample pfbtjsions. WITHDRAWAL OF BRITISH , TROOPS. AMERICAN MEN DISAGREE.-- - (Received June 10, 11.20 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 10. Telegrams from Montreal , report that there is vigorous opposition to the proposals of Irish sympathisers that the American Federation of Labour should demand the withdrawal of British troops from Ireland. Several Canadian dojegaies', apapupopd that they would combat such a move on British soil, while others intimated that they would withdraw if the question! was brought up before the convention for debate.
