THE PENROSE FATALITY DEATH OF ONE OF THE INJURED MEN. ' . Tho young man, James Alallin, who was picked up-unconscious beside the Onehunga railway line at Penrose on Monday night, and taken to tho Auckland Hospital, died early this morning (says an Auckland Press Associa-. tion telegram). So far inquiries have failed to elieite any information of how Mallin ea-ino to fall from the train. Ho and a companion, Mr Murdoch McLeod, of Onehunga, were found beside tlie .line, botli of them Injured,- but McLeod’s injuries were ann.n less serious than those, of Alallin, whose skull was fractured, and McLeod is now an out patient of the hospital. Beyond tho statement that they wore standing on tho carriage plaitorm and fell oil the train, no explanation has been given of the accident. An inquest will bo opened to-mor-row.

A SUDDEN DEATH

HEART FAILURE THE CAUSE

An inquest was held yesterday > afternoon by Mr W. G. Riddell, &.M., into the circumstances of tho death of Airs Sarah Ann Anderson, who died suddenly at her son’s residence in Owen street on Monday evening. Evidence, was given that the deceased, who was very stout, was unable to walk far, suffered from shortness of breath. On Monday Airs Anderson complained of not feeling well, and rested during the afternoon. About 5 o’clock she got up, and collapsed on tho floor. Her sou and daughter-in-law placed her hack in bed and sent for a doctor. The latter, on his jirrival, pronounced life to he extinct. The deceased had not been attended by a doctor for two years. &ho was about 65 years of ago. A" verdict was returned that the deceased died on-Monday, Aia.y 7th, from heart failure.
