Anderson, Minister for Internal Affairs, marking his elevation to tho Cabinet. The Mayor of Gore presided, and Sir William Fraser 1 and the Hon. A. F. Hawko, were present, besides representative men from all over Southland. Tho proceedings wero enthusiastic. Complimentary references were rondo by the speakers, to the Minister’s indefatigable work for Southland and the Dominion generally.
