RAIN ON BROUGHT AREAS). By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright SYDNEY. June 7. Since 'the rain, the long-delayed ploughing of the wheat area is being feverishly pushed ahead. It is now assured, that the area sown will largely exceed what was anticipated before the rain came. In some cases previously sown paddocks will require r©sowing, but largo areas which , appeared to be doomed have been given another start. • COLD SNAP. (Received June 7 8 p.m.) SYDNEY, Juno 7. The weather is bitterly cold as a result of the snowfall in the highlands. Saturday was the coldest June day since 1882. The cold is causing losses among the emaciated stock m the drought areas.
