As a result of the persistent Press and public outcry against the Fedora) members voting themselves £4OO , a year increase in salary without consulting the electorates, some Labour members are offering to subscribe 25 per cent, of the increase to party funds. Other members are offering 50 per cent, to public charities in their electorates. This salary grab won for Mr Kilghea and other members participating in tho Royal functions at Melbourne hostile demonstrations.
