In reply to a request of ithe Dairy men's Association that an inquiry should be held into the position, regarding tho wholesale price of milk, whichwas fixed by tho Board of Xrado al Is 3d per gallon, Mr McDonald, chairman or the board, has replied that no good purpose can be served by a further inquiry. The price of j.s ad on tho farm wholesale seems reasonable 'pending an arrangement in regard to Button prices. •
liie association, has replied as follows: —"The 'dairymen regret very much tho attitude you have taken and will be sorry if they are forced to broak the law, but rtJiey oannot possibly supply at Is 3d. This is final."
