MENACE TO NEW ZEALAND INDUSTRY. - -- * PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION. BLENHEIM, June 3. The Marlborough Chamber of Commerce to-night considered a letter from Mr J. A. Perano, of Tory Channel, . pointing out that Australia was imposing an increased tariff on the importation of all fish oils from one penny to eightpenco per gallon. This would seriously hamper the New Zealand whaling industry, aa Australia was its chief market. Tho chamber resolved to write to the Minister for Customs asking him to endeavour to induce Cabinet to communicate with tho Commonwealth authorities with a view to haying the tariff reduced or a preferential duty placed on New Zealand oil.
