CHAMPIONSHIPS OF SOUTH CANTERBURY.
TEB THESE ASSOCIATION. TIMARU, June 3. Tho Soutli Canterbury Boxing Championships held lost night for the selection of a team for the New Zealand Championships were largely attended. There was a good three hours’ sport. The results were :
Bantam—Stoddard (Ashburton) boat Q. Terras (Ashburton), Feathershanks (Timaru) beat Gibson (Ashburton). Lightweight—J. Buyer (Hinds) beat McAlcer (North Canterbury). Welter —-O’Connor (Seadown) beat Stewart (Timaru). Heavy—McCleary (Ashburton) beat McKenna (Seadown). Flyweight—Barry (Timaru) beat Wyborg (Timaru). In a special bout. Leokie (Dunedin, B®t 21b) beat G. Gunn (Timaru, 8.0).
