COST OF LIVING
PUBLIC MEETING AT THE TOWN HALL. Tho public meeting to be held in tho Town Hall on Friday is being looked forward to with a very great deal of Interest. , , Although this meeting has been nranged by the Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association, it must be understood that it is a public meeting, and the citizens of Wellington should r.ot miss the opportunity of hearing what the speakers* Miss N. E. Coad, M.A , Professor Hunter, and Mr Mitchell, M.P., have to say on tho subject. Many peoplo consider they know tho remedy for the high cost of living, hut to obtain that remedy is quite another matter, and at this meeting the public will have the matter plainlv explained to them. "Mr W. Perry, the president of the Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association, will occupy the chair, „ind in addition to tho speakers mentioned above, returned soldiers who have given the matter serious consideration will also place their views before the public.
