KARORI'S REQUIREMENTS
MEETING OE ASSOCIATION. In spite of the bad weather there was l a good attendance ati tha meeting of tha lvarori Progress Association last evening. -Ur J. Caushley presided. , It was arranged that ttie executive should endeavour to meet the outlying districts committee of tho City Council, which would bo visiting the district on Juno 3rd, in order to place before it tho neds of tho district with regard to a shorter tram route, a, public liall, water and drainage, gas-supply, aud recreation grounds. \ The dralt a'ules of the association proposed by a special sub-committee wero adopted. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow: —President, Mr J. Caughlcy (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs A. Mackenzie and JLi. G. Porter; secretary aud treasurer, Mr W. Skegg; committee, Messrs I. Sikcs, J. Mills, S. T. Jeffcry, W. T. Hildreth and V. Martin.
