• INCIDENT CAUSES BITTER SECTARIANISM. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright (Received May 31, 8.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 31. It is announced that the authorities have, promised a further inquiry into th& Jergcr:case pending doportat'on. It k now ascertained that Father Jcrger's internment was the outcome of allegedly disloyal utterances. Strong protests against these .utterances, including some from members of Jerger'is own'church, led the authorities to take action. The whole incident is causing an unusually widespread revival of bitter sectarianjem, combined with fervid loyalism.
