Two interprovincial .football matches, under the Northern Union rules, wore played pn McLean Park on Saturday between junior and senior teams representing Wellington and Hawke's Bay. There was a large attendance of spectators, a cold and fairly strong, wind blowing during the greater part of the afternoon. Both games were well contested and the senior struggle was, at times, very exciting, some good play by both sides ‘being shown. The series proved very interesting, and the final was played between Central and Petor.o. The latter team won by 11 points to 8. The winning team comprised: Bell, Walters, Haysman, Stubtersfiefcl. McKay. Wilson and Delargey. No senior games were played.
