Tiicrc was a despera'te night attack on the Kihnallock police barracks, in County Limerick. The tiny garrison held out for five hours against four hundred until the barracks caught fire and were burned to the ground. Two police defenders were hurtled to death |and another was dangerously wounded, it is believed that two Sum Eeiners were killed and others wounded, but details are lacking a s Kihnallock is isolated owing to the cutting of the telephones and telegraphs and the tearing up of the railway lines. There was a gruesome discovery at Limerick Junction, when a fireman found a human head TTnpaled on the engine oil a. mail train. A later message states that communication with Kilmallock has not yet been restored. Excitement in the district is intense. Other, barracks were attacked and burnt. 'Hu; whole garrison at Kilmallock were wounded, burning petrol being thrown on the roof of the barracks fi'om neighbouring houses. The defenders were compelled to surrender. The remains on the mail train ’are now said to be a. human heart, but probably it was a gruesome joke, as a search of« the railway line does not reveal any evidence of an accident.
CREW DECLINES TO DISCHARGE MUNITIONS.
(Received May 30, 6.6 p.m.) LONDON. May 29. The troopship Tsaritsa disembarked a thousand Cameron Highlanders at Queenstown. Tho crew of a Government tug struck, refusing to discharge the Tsaritsa’a ammunition.

Tho Foreign Affairs Committee of tho House of Representatives has favourably -reported on. a. resolution sympathising with Ireland’s aspirations for a. government .of its own choice, and action by tho House will bo sought next week.
