R.S.A. ACTIVITIES. WOMEN AND SOLDIERS COMBINE. The Wellington Returned Soldiers’ Association is to bo congratulated on having taken up tho question of tho high cost of living. On Friday next a public meeting is to be held in tho Town Hall, and promises to bo the biggest meeting ever held in tho Dominion on this subject. The Women s National Council of Wellington have joined forces with the returned soldiers for this meeting, and the housewife is assured of haying tho facts put plainly before her. A great deal of discussion has recently taken place on the subject, but- the citizens of Wellington are promised some very interesting information. Miss N. E. Coad, M.A., president of the Women s National Council; Professor T. H. Hunter, of tho Victoria University College ; and Lieutenant-Colonel G. M. Mitchell, D. 5.0., M.P., will address the meeting. For the first time in Wellington' tho people will ho told tho real cause of the high cost of living, the remedies, and the "way of applying tho remedial measures. The meeting will commence at 8 p.m sharp. Admission will ho free, and there will bo no collection. No scats will ho reserved, and a« a very largo gathering is anticipated the public should ho in their scats early in order to avoid disappointment.
