ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION
USE OP AEROPLANES
An application was recently reccived by the "Royal Aeronautical Society from the British Imperial _ Antarctic Expedition for assistance in connection with tho proposal to use aeroplanes for survey work. The_ council have offered to assist by advising on tho types of aircraft most likely to prove suitable and on tho technical equipment and details generally. It is proposed to carry out preliminary experiments in the Arctic regions over a period of twelve months before sending any machines to tbo Antarctic.
