MOTOR FATALITY

FARMER’S WIFE KILLED

Information was received this afternoon of n fatal motor accident at Hillgrove, by which Mrs J. Mahoney, wife of a farmer nt Enfield, was killed. It appears that a party ,of four were on their way to Dunedin in a car onnecl and, driven by John Mahoney, the others being Mrs Mahoney, ' Miss Mahoney, and Duncan Cameron. At a sharp corner of Kartigi road the motor met a dray, and to avoid it collision the car turned into a bank and cansized.

Mrs Mahoney was thrown out violently and killed instaneously, and' Miss Mahoney had her jawbone broken, besides injuric* to her hip. Cameron received slight injuries. Mahoney escaped'unscathed. Mrs Mahoney was aged sixty-one.
