BUTTER BOXES

GOVERNMENT’S NEGLECT TO DEAL WITH SHORTAGE. Press Association. AUCKLAND. June 2. The problem of securing an adequate supply of butter boxes was discussed by the North Auckland Dairy Conference to-day. It was resolved to express to the Government keen disappointment that notwithstanding endorsement by the Efficiency Board of the.-conference’s contention for the taking of strong action, the elapse of twelve mogths had not improved the situation,- and the position of the dairy companies was worse. It was also decided to authorise the formation of a company to provide packages suitable for produce should such a scheme prove practicable.
