(From Our Own Correspondent. , MASTERTON, May 31,

A , branch of the Welfare League Lm been formed in Masterton with Mr J. C. Cooper as temporary chairman, and Mr W. J. Tennent as secretary. There is on foot in Masterton a msva mont in the direction of amalgamating the local unions. At a meeting last evening it was announced that the Agricultural and Pastoral AVorkers’ Union end the railway servants were linking up. Forty-three patients are under treatment at the Masterton Hospital, including eight in the isolation ward.
