OVERCROWDED CARS

COUNCIL IX A DIFFICULTY,

The queston of the overcrowding of tramcars came before the City Council Jast night. " : ' The'Mayoi, replying to the depu tation, stated that it was impossible to get further tramway equipment at present, and the assistance of the public must be asked in the meantime *to meet the difficulty. The subject would be remitted to the tramways committee for consideration.
