MUSICIANS’ WAGE
CLAIMS before conciliation COUNCIL.

AUCKLAND, May 27.
Tho Conciliation Council is hearing a dispute between the Auckland Perofrming Musicians’ Union ol Worker* and their employers. About forty employers were cited, including Opera House, theatres, picture show's, racing clubs, and refreshment- rootns, whore orchestras arc engaged. Among the wages demands of the union are requests for l'(J 10s weekly for theatrical performances in Auckland and £6 weekly when travelling, with-extra pay pro rata for matinees. Good progress was made when the council adjourned
