THOMAS MOORE ANNIVERSARY.
To-night, in the Town Hall, a concert, to celebrate the anniversary of Thomas Moore, the national poet of Ireland, will be held. •Tt promises to be a great success. The winners of the recent competition finals will contribute the :test' pieces of their varidus' sections; and they ■will;.bo assisted by the best local talent procurable. Among the contributors to the programme will be Misses Teresa McEnroe, Eileen Driscoll, Nellie Strickland, F. Outram, and Gladys Watkins. Mosdames Beauchamp, O. Ellis, and Emerson, and Messrs Kevin Dillon, A. J. Fogarty, A. O. Melvin, 33. J. Healy. and B. B. L. Eeade. Those who attend the concert may depend on being given a very enjoyable time. A feature will bo made >of concerted work, there being throe quartet items, including a male quartet, a trio, and a duet. In addition the nine competing choirs will combine and sing the test pieces under the conductorship. of Mr F. J. Oakes, the adjudicator in the recent compociHon.
