The Alayor of the city stated yesterday that the position concerning the city water supply is very much improved. • , Tile state of affairs at Wainui is considerably better than it was before the rains. There the water in tho upper dam is now only’Fft below flow, and Hie Tower’dam is full. The Karori reservoir is still very low, and it may take a long while before there is much improvement there, because the watershed is very limited.
