The weather was cold and.wet, but there was a good attendance afc Randwick for the final day of the Australian Jookey Club's meeting. The going was heavy. Principal interest centred >u the A.J.C, Plate, for which Poitvel wa» a hot favourite. Snub (N.Z.) led the field throughout, but was unable to last against Poitrol's resolute challenge in tho last furlong. Results: ROUS HANDICAP, One mile and three furlongs. Carbern,;B.7 1 The Promise, 8.10 2 Mucilage, 8.3 ..'. 3 Eleven started. The Promise and Khubjia Khan mode most of tho running, but Cnrbern cut down tha leaders in the straight and won by three lengths. Time, 2roin 27Jsev. DANGAR HANDICAP, One niilo and a-halr. \ Forbune Hunter, "8.12 1 Ulva's Isle, b\li! 2 Amazonia, 7.6 3 Also started: Aroh Marella and Urney. The latter made the pace from Fortune Hunter and Ulva's Isle. In the straight Fortune Hunter went to iJio front and won by half a length. Time, 2min 40£seo. SECOND STEEPLES. About threo miles. Glenquinn, 10.7 1 Old Mungindi, 12.4.... 2 Plymouth, 11.4 3 Eight started. Old Mungindi,made the pace throughout. Grey Flyer, Cooiuinya, Sweet Step, and Bibbenluke foil. Glenquinn beat Old Mungindi in the run. home by three lengths. Time, 6min 52sec. SECOND NURSERY HANDICAP, One, mile. Yarraldool, 7.'6 1 Posadoon, 8.12 2 Eroom, 6.13 3. Thirteen started. Oayley made moat of the running, but Eroom was first into the straight. Yarraldool challenged at the distance, and won in a great finish by a head. Time, lmin 44iseo. A.J.O. PLATE, A sweepstake of 10 sovs, with 2000 sovs added. Three miles. Poitrel, 9 .....' ~ 1 Kennaquhair, 9 2 Snub, 9.2 3 Also started— Lanius 9.5, Bursar 9.5, Phaat Boy 9.2. Kennaquhair, Poitrel, and Bursar led in the early stages, and entering the straight Snub moved into first place, followed by Kennaquhair and Poitrel. The latter came away and won easily by four. lengths. Time, smin 33sec. , . FINAL HANDICAP. : One mile. Anyhow, 7.9 1 Amberdown, 9.2 1 Cerise Colours, 8.5 3 Twenty started. The pace was set by Millie, ; Kenil-wort-h, and Hem. The last-named piloted the field into the straight, followed by Amberdown.
