BRITISH PREPARATIONS AT PESHAWAR.

The Afghan Armistice Delegation | was detained at Peshawar as a precautionary measure, with the exception of the chief envoy, who was conducted back across the frontier with | a message that the Amir must prove his sincerity by action. A further large British force is being moved 'to the frontier and much war material is accumulating at Peshawar. I A THREATENING ATTITUDE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, May 22. Latest advices from India show that tho situation on the North-West frontier is unchanged, except on the Kurram border, where the Afghans . display a threatening attitude. There have been no further operations." The internal situation is normal.
