BRANCH FORMED IN TIMARU.

TIMARTT, May 23. At a meeting of the members of the Y.M.C.A. addressed by Mr E. C. Brownell, Dominion secretary, and Mr J. C. Field, president, Cliristchurch, a branch was formed of fourteen directors, representing tho several churches. It ia proposed to carry on as in other centres and erect a hostel by-and-bye. A site already has been purchased near Caroline Bay. A disussion has taken place on tho proposal that the Returnes Soldiers' Association', who desire to erect club rooms, should combine with the Y.M.C.A.. but the soldiers refused to do so. The meeting appointed a committee to wait on the U.S.A. to remove misconceptions. " ;
