The stranded New Zealanders’ Committee has cabled to Sir James Allen stating that tho development of tho shipping trouble in Sydney makes repatriation of New Zealanders forthwith imperative, and urging upon him to arrange that the Makura, sailing on the 22nd, may carry passengers, tho Government to compensate tho Union Company if necessary for possible delay in quarantine, or to arrange that some other vessel in Wellington harbour be utilised for quarantine purposes.
