There is practically no change to report in the grain markets. Oats are inclined to be firmer owing to the difficulty of obtaining supplies as growers refuse to sell at the prices at present offered at country stations. Oatsbeaf chaff, is also firmly held, although more cutting is now being done. It is now quoted at .£5 10s to £5 15s at country stations. There is no change in potatoes, white varieties being still quoted at -C5 10s at country stations, and Dakota reds at .£6 9s. Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report as under: —At our Wanganui sale on 14th inst. we yarded 300 head of cattle, 3200 sheep and 20 pigs. Sheep were dull of sale, the greater portion of the entry being quitted in buyers' favour. ■ Severn. lines of well bred cattle wero offered and sold under the hammer at reduced rates. Fat piffb sold at high prices. At Waverley on 16th inst., our yarding consisted of 100 head of cattle and 2400 sheep. A
