TO REPLACE THE AMOKURA.

CAPTAIN HOOPER TO SELECT VESSEL.

The Admiralty, stated the Hon. T. M. Wilford, Minister for Marine, to a "Times" reporter yesterday, has jiromi.'ed to gjvQ New Zealand an up-to date and larger vessel to replace the training ship Amokura, but the two ships so far offered to the authorities to choose from do not meet the requirements. Cabinet has decided, therefore, that Captain Hooper, of the Amokura, shall go Home to select a suitable vessel and bring her out to New, Zealand.
