Mr William Hughes and Mr Deane left Paris in an aeroplane at noon, but had not arrived at Croydon at 7 in the evening, although an, aeroplane whicli left Paris later arrived safely. Tho latter reports some fog on the journey. (Received May 16, 7.45 p.m.)
LONDON, May 16. Hughes landed at Abbeville, France. He abandoned his flight to London owing to fog in tho Channel.
KING OF BELGIANS FLIES ACROSS
CHANNEL,

The King of the Belgians flew across the Channel and arrived at Dover, where he abandoned hie further air cruise owing to fog.
