MR F. CASTLE ELECTED CHAIR MAN. ,

T. Moore. G. Petherick, and J. Smith. The first business was to elect » H. Van Stavoren moved that Mr H. Baldwin. wlio was chairman last year, should again hold the P °The nomination was seconded by Mra A. McVicor. 1 „ ... ■ Mr F. Castle proposed Mr J. Kmi tn. and Mrs Aitken seconded. Mr Smith declined to stand. Mrs Aitken nominated Mr J. W. MeEwan, and Mrs Snow seconded. Mr McEwan also declined to stand. He had not the time to give to tha Mr Fl Castle was nominated by M» J. Hutchison and Mrs Beck. The names of Messrs Baldwin and Castle were submitted to ballot, and the ’ voting was; Castle B) Baldwin 6
Mr Castle thanked the members ol the board for electing him, and h« asked that appreciation of Mr Baldwin's services -to tho board should be expressed. „ , The Rev. H. Van Staveren, Mr 1 Smith, and others congratulated Mr Castle on his election, and spoke of hi* interest in tho work of the board Mr Baldwin, too, congratulated the new chairman, and said that if he continued to give to the board the-scr-, vibes he had given in the past, ho would bo an excellent chairman, A vote of thanks to Mr, Baldwin for his work on the board was, carried, and Mr Baldwin, in returning thanks said that there was much work to be done in the future. Among the coming extensions was tho opening of a new ward, which would carry' eighty beds.
