SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
A concert wag given by Mrs E. Pat. terson to a large gathering of seamen at the Sailors’ Friend Society on Tuesday. All the following were encored:—Mrs Patterson, the Misses Monlonan, J. Lewis, McKean, R. Clapp, and Messrs Armstrong, Ridding, Vincent, and Oolven. Tho Misses B. Clapp, J. Lewis, Griffiths, and McKean were at tho piano. Increased shipping has meant largely increased attendances on Sundays and week davs and a greater need for help, for which the missioner (Mr Moore) pleaded.
