INFLUENZA
IN WELLINGTON DISTRICT,
Eighteen cases of influenza, including two at Waipawa, of the pneumonic type, were reported in the Wellington health district between Alay Bth and 12 th. One severe case and three mTd, cases were reported ia the city. following were tho localities in which cases were reported:—" aipawa, 2 pneumonic; Napier, 2 mild; Eltham, 2 mild; Martou, i mild; Wellington tfy, 3 mild, 1 severe; Lower Hutt, 2 mild; Featherston, 2 mild; Alotueha, 1 mild; Nelson; 2 mild. Total, 18. COAIAIISSION’S "REPORT. The report of the Royal Commission on the influenza Epidemic, tho ti.tne for the presentation of which was extended to yesterday, Alay 14th, has been forwarded to His Excellency the Governor-General, and will shortly be considered by Cabinet. The Minister for Rublic Health was able to givo no indication yesterday as to when tho report will be available for publication. CASES IN OTAGO. Press Association. DUNEDIN, Alay 14. The District Hcafih Officer reports that the notification of influenza in Otago and Southland so far this month number five. Of these four are in Dunedin, one in Roxburgh. All are mild, except one. ALL SYDNEY RESTRICTIONS TO BE LIFTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received Alay 10, 1.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, Alay 14. The Aledical Council recommends lifting all the remaining influenza restrictions. It is expected that theatres will reopen on Saturday.
