From Our Own Correspondent. MASTER/TON, May 13. Mr Mark Maxton, of Greytown, who underwent an operation a few days ago, is making satisfactory, progress towards recovery. Arrangements are. being made to recognise suitably the services of, Mr and Mrs J. W. Coradine as Mayor and Mayoress of Masterton. At a sale of gift stock at Carterton in aid of tho funds of tho Wnirarapa P. and A. Society, a sum of £274 was realised. - . . Mr C. Elgar has sold his Dry River property. Mr E. J. Csshe'r has purchased 6000 acres and Mr ; Hewitt, formerly of Mastortbn, 2000 acres of the property.
