THE NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW
Palmerston North's Winter Show will commence oil June 17th and extend over a period of four days. The schedule is even more comprehensive than those of former years, and many additional trophies have been added to tlto list. Apple growers will be keenly' interested in the twelve Ruinea trophy—a straightout win—to be awarded to the individual grower securing the championship in that soction. There should also be a strong bid made for the. handsome fit teen guinea trophy of unique design presented in connection with the home-made butter competition. The various hunting and other competitions will also bo attractive features, while the ever-popular Wanganui-Te Auto football match will, as usual, bo the premier event of tho second day. • The interesting dog trials will also be in evidence, a maiden event supplementing the usual open compt-n----tion. Record entries should be received in connection with the amateur photography, as many special prizes have been donated. Tho purebred cattle exhibition and sale which is being held on the second and third days of the show will present an opportunity to farmers and others to procure animals to suit their reciuiremcnts. The Manawatu Poultrv Association also hold their championship exhibition at this show.
