■'..... SATURDAY'S'GAMES. INSTITUTE v. BROOKLYN. At Association Park on Saturday afternoon the Institute team met Broklyn. The game proved to be most uninteresting, Institute showing muoW more, combination than their'opponents, consequently a large score was .registered. "At the commencement of the game play centred in midfield, but shortly aftorwards Harris, one of Institute's centre forwards,, secured the ball, and from a difficult position his kick got home. Immediately afterwards Porter oh the left wing centred to Houston, who headed tho ball in. Institute. 2, Brooklyn 0. Institute commenced to attack strongly, Harris adding two.more goals in quick succession, the last ono being obtained from a mix-up in front of. the posts. Halftime found Brooklyn. on the defence, the score reading: Institute 4, Brooklyn 0. . On resuming Institute again started'a series of forward rushes. Por-

Swifts-beat Petone B by 3 to 1. FOURTH A GRADE. Marist (2) beat South Wellington (1). FOURTH B GRADE. After a strenuous match Wadestown defeated Thorndon by 1 goal to nil. Porirua (9) beat Diamonds (0). FIFTH A GRADE. Marist drew with Institute- B (1 all). FIFTH B GRADE. The game between Thorndon and to an was said to have been one of the fastest games yet shown by any of the fifth-grado- teams. Thorndon defeated Seatoun by. 2 goals to 1.. Miramar'(3) beat Wadestown (nil) Marist B defeated Y.M.C.A. by 4 goals to 1. -
SIXTH A GRADE. Marist T A defeated Y.M.C.A. by 5 to 1. ' SIXTH B GRADE. Marist N won by default from Thorndon. Marist T (3) defeated Wadestown (nil). SIXTH C GRADE. Marist N (6) defeated Marist T (0). At Kelburn Park on Saturday a civilian eleven met the Empire junior men's team in a friendly game and defeated them by 3 goals to 2.
