Throughout the world to-morrow the Jfonng mea'a Christian Association will ceiebraito Mothers’ Day. The general idea of Mothers’ Day is a world-wiae emphasis of the love and reverence men, women and children owe to a good mother. The special obj ect is to honour and uplift motnerhood and to give comfort and nappiuess to “the best mother who ever lived"—your mother. All members of the association ard ashed to observe the day in the. following manneri—By a loving remembrance of mother (or her memory! through some distinct act of kindness. some tribute, dr a letter j by living the day as your mother would have you live it jby having her, if you can. ofl your guest of honour; by going back home and‘giving her pleasure; by writing her a loving letter of praise and gratitude; by wearing a white flower in vour. buttonhole; by attending the Mothers' Day meeting, at the Y.M.C.A. rooms, at i o'clock tomorrow afternoon, and by , attending Strangers' Tea I ,* ht A p.m/After Mothers’ Day meeting The speaker for the afternoon will be Mrs A. It. Atkinson, and the soloist Mrs D. li. Kennedy. The president of the association (Mr E. Drown), will occupy the chair. It is hoped to make the meeting a very successful one. It is open to all. and each member is asked to bring "mother" with him. A number of the prominent churches in Wellington are also observing “Mothers’ Day." Special addresses will be given.
