A MEMORIAL DIVISION,
A dispatch has been received from the Colonial Office intimating that there is to be established a Memorial Division of the Most Excellent Order ot tho Bxtish Empire.
In making this announcement yesterday, tho Minister for Internal Affairs (the Hon, G. W. Russell) said that tho Urder would bo open to all branches of tho war service which, but for tho creation of those departments, would have been performed by the War Office. Persons already appointed to the Order who arc qualified lor th<» military division will be transferred to it from the lists which have been published. The insignia of the civil. and the military divisions will bo the same, but the military ribbon will be distinguished by a vertical red stripe in the middle of the existing ribbon.
