HINDENBURG
CURIOUS LIGHT ON HIS RESIGNATION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, May 7.
Information received in Paris throws a curious light on Hindenburg’s resignation. The Field-Marshal visited various towns and reviewed the troops in Silesia, exhorting them to defend Germany, which was in danger. It is believed that Hindenburg contemplates an offensive against the Polish troops. The railway yards are working at full pressure, and th,e ammunition factories are producing vast quantities of rifles, machine-guns, and bomb-throw-ers. It is suspected that these activities are not merely intended for the fight against Bolshevism in Germany.
