SWEATING ALLEGED
BY CLOTHING TRADE DEPUTATION.
"A "deputation from the clothing trade workers waited on the Minister for'Labour (the Hon. W. H. Herries) yesterday,' and urged that ho should seriously consider* what they termed tbs evils" arising out "of the registration ot outworkers under the Factories Adf. ' TKo' Hori. J- T. Paul, t"he spokesman, Gaid the system encouraged a degree of sweating almost equal to' that ot earlier days. The practice should be prohibited, or more stiictly regulated. The Minister asked tho deputation to submit definite proposals.
