BRISBANE, May 6. - The Government has imposed thp compulsory wearing of masks and othei restrictions adopted by New South Wales.' .. ■ - ON SOMES ISLAND FIREMAN SUCCUMBS TO DISEASE . The Health authorities reported terday that one of the Manuka's firemen who was in quarantine on Somes Island, together with fifteen otbel sea-men .off • the same vessel, had succumbed to influenza. The deceased'c name is Karl Larsen, aged thirty-three years. Apart from this unfortunate occurrence, the position is generally satisfactory, no fresh developments having takeni place since Saturday.
