LICENSING POLL
CONTINUANCE LEAD, 6898
MAJORITY OX SOLDTEES’ VOTE OVER 20,000. Details obtained from the Chief Electoral Office yesterday show that as the licensing poll figures now stand continuance has a lead of 6303 over prohibition. On the civilian voting, prohibition has an advantage of 13,675, but the solders, in a poll or 34,441, give continuance a majority of 20,573 Tliis leaves a net majority for continuance of 6898. The civilian voting stands as follows : Continuance 231,450 Prohibition 245,155 ■ Informal 4,404 Prohibition majority ... 13,675 The soldiers’ voting is: Continuance 27,507 Prohibition 6,934 Intormal 190 Continuance majority... 20,573 The Dominion totals are; — Continuance 258,987 Prohibition 252,098 -Informal 4,594 Continuance majority... 6,898 The following amended returns from listriots have been received;
