The Naval authorities report that the expedition which left Papeete on October 10th rescued the Secadler’s victims from Molpha (P Ncpeha) Island. The crew of tho German raider Seeadjor on September 9th captured the Lutoce, from Tahiti. The Germans left twenty-seven whites and seventeen natives from tho Lutece marooned on Nopeha Island, where the men were in groat need of food and water. An expedition was sent out to search for the marooned men. PERSONS OF ENEMY ORIGIN PROHIBITED FROM HOLDING MEETINGS. An article from a well-informed source appearing in tbe £ ‘Moser Zeitung” indicates that one of the obiecyDs of the Kaiser’s visit to Sofia was to induce Bulgaria to attack General Sarrail, with Salonika ns a promised reward if the attack was successful. The writer states that Greece is expected shortly to declare war against Bulgaria, whereupon tbe latter will bring an army of b 0 men against General Sarrail. This will leave 200,* 000 in the Dobrudja. DARDANELLES DEFENCES. Australian and N.Z. The “Daily Express” Amsterdam correspondent says that the Kaisers sudden rush to Sofia and Constantinople was due to information received that the Bulgars and Turks could hardly stand another winter of war. The Kaiser hopes to revive faith in Germany’s cause.
