li is a considerable time since the public have had an opportunity of viewing a masquerade ball and poster pageant. The function to be held at the Town Hall next Wednesday should attract a largo attendance, elaborate arrangements having ocen nuade by the drapery assistants to make it successful. Proceeds are to bo devoted to the Citizens’ Christinas Gift Fund, and rhe public are invited to take port either as dancers or spectators. The Trentham Band Orchestra is providing the music, and the daily papers offer prizes tor the bes f poster and fancy dresses.
