THE AMOKURA
NEW. BOYS- TO FILL VACANCIES. The Government, training ship Amokura is to leave Wellington to-morrow on her preliminary spring cruise in Cook Strait. The vessel will return to port on Monday evening to, take, on bpard n - number of new boys’ prior to sailing on Tuesday on her annual, visit to the outlying southern islands in quest of castaways. Following is a list of the new boys, who will embark on Tuesday morning: L. I. Hawkins (Rangiora), J. T. Stevens (Auckland). G. A. Alexander (Wellington), E. C. Hickey ; (Auckland), W. R. Bradley (Nelson). J. E. Todd (Invercargill), L. Madigan (Auckland, L. R. Fillingham (Dunedin). E. R. Bull (Gisborne), J._ F. McKay (Dunedin), and D. W- McGregor (Otago). . The following boys, who have served their time oh the Amokura, are about to ioin the merchant service:—N. E. Johnson. : (jo Monowai: HI. O. Wells, Kamo: C. Jensen. Nikau; E. ..Monk, Ngdtoro; P. H. Smith, Kini: Q. Commoner, Wimmera ; J. Kerr, Mapourika; H. Morrison, Waipori; J. Hughson, Kini; H. Martin. Waipori.
