NEWSPAPER PROPRIETORS

Press Association. AUCKLAND, February 26. The Newspaper Proprietors’ Association decided last night to register under the Arbitration Act. The president was congratulated upon the steps he had taken to facilitate the transmission and publication of the Financial and Public Works Statements, and the Government was thanked for the prompt and efficient manner in which the suggestions were carried out. Hie following officers were elected: President, Mr P. Selig; vice-president. Mr Hyman; committee, Messrs L. Blundell, Fenwick, Horton, Mcßohie, and Pirani; secretary, Mr Keys; auditor, Mr Kerr.
