SCOTT MEMORIAL FUND

Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, February 20. At a small public meeting yesterday a committee was set up to promote a national New Zealand memorial to Captain Scott and bis companions who perished in the Antarctic. Forty pounds was subscribed in the room. A theatrical carnival organised by the Williamson Comic Opera Company in aid of the Captain Scott national fund, held at Lancaster Park yesterday afternoon, was largely attended, and produced a profit of £454.
